Khadi being the symbol of Indian freedom struggle is not generally associated with fashion and glamour. But with the advancement in weaving technology and the creativity of our Indian designers this hand spun cloth has managed to make a place in our hearts. Besides being eco -friendly it is a very comfortable and skin friendly fabric.  No embellishments, no embroidery can match up to the simple and sophisticated look of this cloth. The innovative use of Khadi in fashion clothing has transformed the image of khadi from being dull and monotonous to smart and classy. Indian fashion lovers have started appreciating this Gandhian era cloth.
Today,  Khadi is no longer  confined to  making kurtas and sarees only. It can be employed into making  western wears like shorts, jackets , tunics, jumpsuits etc....

  1. Hi Guys... This is Neetika Singh. I have ventured into blogging only a few days ago and i m really liking doing this.
The idea for the post about writing on khadi as a trendy cloth has come into my mind because I did my post graduation from a college where wearing khadi was more important than anything. No other cloth was allowed to us to wear and this could be one of the reasons why i initially used to hate this cloth. But my mindset about khadi changed completely after watching a fashion show on our annual day based on the theme of Khadi outfits . I was really amazed to see the different glamourous outfits made out of this simple looking cloth. I could not have ever imagined about khadi being so versatile that it can be incorporated into making a number of stylish dresses.. Since then my opinion about khadi changed completely and I started adoring this really fabulous cloth....
