HOW TO RIP YOUR JEANS

Ripped jeans or Distressed jeans is the most popular trend these days. Many B-town celebrities can be spotted wearing distressed jeans on various events .Ripped jeans give you a very smart and sassy appearance.But if buying a new pair of ripped jeans is going a little out of budget, you can try making it on your own in a few simple steps. The best part of ripping it yourself is you can choose where to rip and experiment as much as you want according to your style and kind. You can make the best use of your old torn pair of jeans and save a lot of money this way and look very stylish at the same time....


  Things  you need:
1. A pair of jeans
2. Scissors or blade
3. Sandpaper  or Pumice stone
4.Tweezers
5. Pen

Step 1:  Take a pair of jeans. You can choose an old Pair or buy a cheap one from the  store. Choose the denim wisely, an elastic material won't give a perfect shabby look so go for the denim which is made of 100 %cotton or near. Put the jeans on and start marking  the area  where you want to rip with a pen or chalk . Most people prefer the  knee area to  but it is completely upto you where you want to do it.

Step 2: Remove the jeans and carefully start cutting the marked area with scissors or a blade. Be careful about the back side of the jeans while cutting. You can place a cardboard or something inside the leg of the jeans to prevent the back side from being cut.

Step 3:  After cutting the jeans rub the edge of the cut portion using a sandpaper or a pumice stone to bring the fibre out of the  denim cloth. You can also rub the sandpaper to edge of the pockets or bottom of the jeans for a frayed look.

you can make two parallel cut and use the tweezers to pull out the vertical threads. This will leave you with only the horizontal lining of the threads.

Give the finishing touch to your jeans by removing the excess threads with the help of scissors and you are all set to rock in your own self made ripped jeans.. You can try the same thing with your denim shorts, skirts or jackets too.
